Philosophy

Nancy creates an environment where children of all ability have fun while learning to swim. Her educational background combined with her experience present her with an array of tools and techniques that are the impetus for her non-traditional approach to my aquatics program, Choose to Swim.

Because she provides children with pre-experiences involving basic movement and exercise, students discover how to swim without direct instruction. When children have fun in her class, they  work hard without realizing it.  Thus they develop the strength, flexibility and movement skills they need to become competent swimmers.

That is why she utilizes her Creative Arts background.  By blending storytelling with exercise and skill development, she creates unique aquatic challenges. Her innovative aquatic activity prepares all children with the skills they need to be safe in and around water, develop swimming skills and to engage in other aquatic sports.
