Movement is fundamental to learning. We design this dynamic workshop to specifically meet the needs of:

• direct care professionals

• physical education teachers

• parents

• youth leaders 

• occupational therapists / physical therapists / recreation therapists / movement therapists 

Participants:

• examine why movement is important to individuals with disabilities,

• engage in activity that demonstrates  its importance,

• synthesize the research with practical activities,

• discuss ways to improve their program and

• witness the impact on individuals through video and still photography

• youth leaders

• recreation staff

• actively engage in the community building framework,

• experience community building activities,

• form an inclusive community, 

• share their talents with others, 

• discuss possible solutions to implement in their program and

• learn how to create an environment where the mean is children supporting each other.
