Instructional Programs
Interaction Workshops
Our workshops actively involve participants in the learning process. As we blend lecture with the creative arts and exercise, you explore the topic with us through discussion, movement, activity based challenges and small group activity.
Topics include: Team Building, Motivating and Empowering Clients, Play as Brain Food, Fun Fitness, Adapted Aquatics, Inclusion and Building Community within Your Program.
Choose To Swim
Watch out for floating islands, bridges, ropes and buoys. We submerge participants in basic movement, exercise and the creative arts. Our water is not "cool" but are activities are. Participants have fun as they learn to swim and become comfortable in and around water.
Ioffer instructional programs for children of all ability, adapted aquatics programs for individuals with disabilities and and aquatic therapy sessions for individuals who need specialized support.
U Can Canoe
Paddle, maneuver, swamp and rescue your boats. Participants learn boating safety, explore quiet waters and learn a leisure skill that they can enjoy with friends and family.
We offer paddling through recreation departments, youth groups and at Elderhostel. We also offer recreation therapy sessions for individuals with disabilities who need or want specialized support.
I offer a 3 or 5 hour Introduction to Canoeing course for those interested in becoming skilled canoeists. It covers safety, rescues, equipment, strokes and maneuvers.
Choose To Move
Fitness is fun! With children we use ramps, horses, beams and quadpods. We offer them activities that challenge them to solve problems and work together as they increase their fitness levels and learn the movements that support them in school and on the field.
With adults we integrate basic movement with exercise and dance. We work with all individuals to increase their flexibility, strength and endurance so that they can increase or maintain their level of fitness and participate in lifelong leisure activity and sports.
